Sardis United Methodist Church Sunday Wedding Fees

Option 1: Altar Only Service

• Wedding ceremony performed at the altar within two hours following our worship service. This ceremony is an excellent choice for those seeking a quiet, private, reverent experience with only close family and friends present. This type of service typically has one attendant each for the bride and groom.
• Church Fee of $300.00. Absolutely no rehearsal. A deposit of $100.00 is required to reserve the date on our Wedding Calendar.
• You may use our church organist/pianist or provide your own. Organist/Pianist fee arranged directly with him.
• Center aisle entry of the bride may be arranged, if desired.
• Readings of short scriptural passages, poems or prayers would be appropriate, if desired.
• Use of Bride’s Room for dressing, if desired.
• If Sardis Pastor performs ceremony - $75.00 fee applies.
• $75.00 Wedding Coordinator fee. The Wedding Coordinator is required to open and close the church and provide assistance to the Wedding Party.
• Marriage License and remaining fees should be brought to the ceremony.

Option 2:

• Scheduled start for ceremony no later than 3:00 p.m. (earliest start 1:30 p.m.) with church clear by 4:30 p.m.
• The third Sunday of each month is not available due to pre-existing church function.
• This option is a cost-effective way to have a church wedding with a more expanded ceremony than Option 1. It allows for usher assisted guest seating and the center aisle entry of the bride and her attendant(s). Most weddings this size have minimal attendants (1-3 total).
• Church fee of $500.00. Additional $100.00 fee for rehearsal. Rehearsal must be coordinated around any Saturday weddings scheduled. A deposit of $250.00 is required to reserve the date on our Wedding Calendar.
• You may use our church organist/pianist or provide your own. Organist/Pianist fee arranged directly with him. Additional music provided by wedding party (flutist, harpist, bagpipes, etc.) if desired.
• Use of Bride’s Room for dressing.
• If Sardis Pastor performs ceremony - $100.00 Fee Applies. Full fee of $250.00 applies if rehearsal is requested.
• $125.00 fee for Wedding Coordinator’s services. Full fee of $250.00 applies if rehearsal is requested.
• Marriage License and fees must be brought to the ceremony.

Option 3: (Evening Wedding 4:00 p.m. or after start)

• $925.00 sanctuary fee (includes rehearsal and cleaning fee). Rehearsal must be coordinated around any Saturday weddings scheduled. A deposit of $400.00 is required to reserve the date on our Wedding Calendar.
• $250.00 fee if using Sardis pastor.
• $250.00 fee for Wedding Coordinator’s services.
