Welcome to the Sardis United Methodist Church website.
We are proud to be members of a church where you don’t get lost in a crowd and everyone knows each other. If you are looking for a small church where the congregation is warm, caring and accepting, Sardis is the church for you.
Sardis United Methodist Church is rich in history and tradition. As the longest worshiping congregation in the Atlanta area, Sardis has been conducting worship services on our present site (originally part of the Creek Nation) since 1812. The current building was constructed in 1927 and the beautiful stained glass windows were installed and dedicated in 1941. During its long history, Sardis has survived tornados and fire only to rebuild each time. The original 1927 steeple was destroyed in a fire but was recreated and installed in 1995. We invite you explore our web site and learn more about our historic church.
Sardis continues to serve as an active United Methodist Church. We invite you to worship with us Sundays @ 11:00 a.m.
